Dieses rote Jäckchen ist vor ein paar Tagen fertig geworden. Ich habe es gehäkelt aus Online Linie 86 Jump in Farbe 103 das ich im Angebot gekauft habe, die Anleitung ist ‘Short and Sweet’ von Angela Best aus ‘Maschenware’ bzw. ‘Stitch ‘n Bitch: The Happy Hooker’ von Debbie Stoller. Leider ist die deutsche Übersetzung etwas seltsam, ich musste nachfragen was in der englischen Anleitung steht um herauszufinden, was ‘Faden verwahren’ bedeuten soll. Also habe ich mir dann doch das englische Original gekauft und damit das Jäckchen fertig gestellt. An den Ärmeln habe ich einen Mustersatz mehr gearbeitet, weil sie mir sonst zu kurz waren. Außerdem ist es trotz Maschenprobe etwas eng ausgefallen, also habe ich kurzerhand vorne noch ein Bogenborte angehäkelt, um es etwas zu vergrößern. Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich jetzt richtig zufrieden und werde es bestimmt noch oft tragen.

This red cardigan has been finished a few days ago. I’ve made it using Online Linie 86 ‘Jump’ yarn in colorway 103 which I got on sale, the pattern is ‘Short and Sweet’ by Angela Best from the book ‘Stitch ‘n Bitch: The Happy Hooker’ by Debbie Stoller. Unfortunately the German translation is strange and I had to ask friends about the wording in the English pattern to understand it.  So I sold the German book and got the English one now which I used to finish this project. I’ve made a pattern repeat more for the sleeves as I didn’t like them as short as they were first. And even if I swatched, the cardi turned out a bit too small, so I’ve added a shell border at the front panels to make it a bit bigger. Now I really like the result and I’m sure I’ll wear the cardi quite a lot.
