Music Game

I thought it was time for a bit of fun… here are the rules, in case you want to play too:

  1. set your playlist to random
  2. list the first line of the first 20 songs that come up
  3. when someone guessed the song, note band/singer and title behind it

I skipped everything that was in German, as chances are not too good that someone will know those songs. So, here is my list, have fun guessing… and don’t google it, that’s cheating.

  1. Remember the first dance we shared?
  2. Bicycle, bicycle, bicycle, I want to ride my bicycle, bicycle, bicycle
  3. The trail of tears began for all the Cherokee, The white men came to trade & borrow
  4. Riddler, riddler ask me why the birds fly free on a mackerel sky
  5. I’ll be your master and I’ll be your slave
  6. You don’t remember me, but I remember you
  7. I don’t mean to sound mean when i talk about the day
  8. When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone
  9. Hard to tell or recognise a sign to see me through
  10. You better run like hell, you better make your face up
  11. My shadow side so amplified starts coming back dissatisfied
  12. I don’t wanna be, I don’t wanna be me
  13. I want to reach out over the Loch
  14. Do you mean this horny creep set upon weary feet
  15. I am tall and I am thin, of an enviable height
  16. What I’ve go you’ve to give it to your momma
  17. Heaven bend to take my hand and lead me through the fire
  18. When the moon cradle’s rocking and rocking
  19. Watching from a post up high
  20. Where ere thou hast been, here or in yon world manifest

Now have fun with those, some should be really easy – but others might be a bit obscure

I’m busy

Actually, I’m scaring myself a bit with how busily I’m working lately… Lots of stitchmarkers are already in the store, I added some new yarns, just dyed 15 more skeins today – 6 of them for a custom order. And I already have plans for more stitchmarkers and more yarns. The scary thing is, most of the beads I used for the markers have been sitting around for over a year and have never been used, I just bought a few new ones – and I still haven’t used up all of my stashed beads.

Now I just hope I can stay as productive as I am now, it is about time that I start to really do something for my business.

Phat Fiber superbox giveaway

As every month, there is a giveaway for the Phat Fiber Superbox – a box that contains samples of everything sent in for the Phat Fiber Box, and some of the samples in it are full size or especially made for the Superbox.

To enter the giveaway, buy from my shop or the shop of any participant and post about your purchase on Ravelry in this thread. There you can find more information about how to enter and which shops are participating. Every item you buy is one entry, even if you buy several in one purchase. And all your purchases in February count, not just the ones you make from today on. What are you waiting for? Have a look at the shops, I bet you’ll find something you’ll love.

You want to know a bit more about this month’s box? The theme is Gems and Minerals and there will be a lot of beautiful samples, have a look at this Ravelry thread to see what everyone came up with. Unfortunately I didn’t get around to dye some yarn, but there are stitch markers with stones from me in the box.

Sunshine

sun

The boy wanted to make a sun for our window, he wanted the sun to shine every day for us. So we grabbed some yellow paper, scissors and crayons and started. The result is a sunrise with a cute, girly face. It’s in the living room window, right beside where I sit to craft – I bet it will make me smile even on a grey and dark day.

Mama’s little helper

helper1

Philipp loves to help me in the kitchen, yesterday he cut the previously cooked potatoes for me after I peeled them. He’s getting quite good at it, and as you can see he’s concentrating really hard on it. Later he cracked some eggs – not everything landed in the bowl, but he was so proud that he could do it by himself.

Okay, even more than cooking he likes baking, as that means there will be batter to try and cake or cookies later. I love that he really wants to help and doesn’t just do it because I ask him to. He even asks me from time to time if there’s anything he can help with when I start to prepare dinner. I hope he’ll keep that up, it can only be good for him when he learns how to cook.
