Odd Ducks Doctor Who Swap

This is a bit disorganized and some questions might be there twice, I just copied them from the Ravelry thread when I answered them… I hope it isn’t too confusing

What episode(s) scares you the most? Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead – I’ve never been afraid of the dark, but I watched this right before going to bed, was all alone at home. And my bedroom window has no shutters, there’s a tree right in front of it. The moving shadows were no fun at all, believe me
Which yarn weight would you prefer, lace weight, fingering weight or sport weight?fingering weight without wool or thicker
What kind of item would you like to make with above mentioned yarn? I’m in love with shawls lately, but like to knit socks, fingerless mitts and hats as well
What’s your theory about River Song’s identity? I don’t really have one – and most theories I read about don’t really appeal to me. So I’ll just hope that Moffat will really reveal a bit more about her in the next season
What is your favorite Doctor Who related pattern or project someone has made on Ravelry?oh, there are so many… I like the Dalek Doily and the Doctor Who Bowties are cool washcloth is fun, as is the EXFOLIATE!Dalek Cloth… Awesome, but nothing I’d try to make is the Doctor Who/David Tennant Illusion, the Tilting Tardis Cowl is on my list of things to make – and don’t forget Extermiknit.

If you could (realistically) get any Doctor Who memorabilia from your spoiler what would it be?Anything I don’t already have… probably no poster, as the husband wouldn’t approve of me hanging it somewhere and I don’t have my own craft room yet
Do you have any jewelry allergies? Yes, that’s why I rarely wear earrings – can’t wear anything besides titanium or platinum for more than a few hours. But I wear everything when I go out, just can’t wear it all day long
What kinds of tasty treats/candies do you like? Most sweets, except for liquorice. If my spoiler was from the UK, I’d love to get Jelly Babies or Mint Humbugs or Sherbet Lemons. From the US Oreos and PopTarts (non-fruity ones) would be welcome. As well as any local sweets from wherever my spoiler lives
Do you like chocolate? If so, white, milk, or dark? What about fillings/flavorings? All of them, just don’t like yoghurt fillings in my chocolate
Any food allergies? none that apply here, as I don’t think anyone would send me fish or fresh apples 
Any fiber allergies? I can’t wear wool except in socks and I can’t spin with wool – but I can knit with it, so for yarn it doesn’t really matter. But please don’t make me any wearables with wool
Do you wear jewelry? I do, but not often… but I like pretties grins
If so, what kind? Braclets and necklaces will be worn most, I like earrings but just when I go out… can’t wear rings, they drive me crazy. I should perhaps mention, my wrists are tiny, they measure just 15 cm around, so bracelets tend to be too big for me.
Would you like spinnable fiber? Or handspun yarn? Spinnable fiber would have to be without wool, I get asthma attacks when I spin wool – so no sheep for me, please. Handspun would be great, it can have wool

If you had to pick one thing as an Icon for the series, what would it be? Can’t pick just one… The TARDIS, the scarf, Daleks, the Sonic Screwdriver

What do I love about the series? what’s not to love? It’s serious and silly, made me laugh and cry and bite my nails…
Favorite villains: Weeping Angels, Adipose (they are too cute)
UK DVD’s okay? Yes, I live in Germany… I’d have problems with US DVDs

What monster/villain/character would you not want to receive? As I have not seen much Classic Who, anything that’s before Nine wouldn’t be that interesting to me – except for a Doctor doll, no matter which incarnation 
What was your first Who experience? I started to watch Torchwood, because I heard that James Marsters was in it… then I asked people about the references to “The Doctor”, started to watch the first season of New Who… and what can I say, I got hooked
How do you feel about receiving used (vintage) books? As long as they are in decent shape, that’s perfectly fine with it
if you could see a DW episode set in any historical period/event, what would you choose? Phew, that’s a tough one… I always love anything set in the Victorian era, or all things steampunk, but there are so many more interesting possibilities. I’ll have to think about this a bit more
Would you mind something made of acrylic? no… if it’s something to wear, it should be soft acrylic though
what type of bag would you like eg project bag or small book bag any kind of bag… but a project bag should be lined with fabric or felt, as my dpns tend to poke through knit bags
How is are your favorites/queued organized? my favourites are tagged (Who related items have the tag Who), but all patterns I’d like to get are in my queue in my wishlist… I rarely add notes to them
Handwriting on items? Yes or No? it should be somewhat even, but I don’t mind handwriting… or printing, both is fine
Are there any songs you’ve heard that you’ve been hit with the urge to post on youtube with a ‘shipper video? nope… I like to watch those videos, but have no idea how to make them myself
Would you like socks? yes, they are about the only item with wool I can wear on my skin. And they are the only thing that keeps my feet from constantly freezing in Winter

Please list your allergies I can’t wear wool on my skin, except for socks, and can’t spin with wool – but wool for knitting and bags is fine. All other animal fiber is no problem, but especially for gloves or scarves, please no sheep. Oh, and I’m allergic to cats, so it would be better if my spoiler didn’t have a cat.

Would you prefer one handmade item that takes quite a while to make, or would you prefer several handmade items that probably take the same amount or more time to make when the craft time is added up? I don’t have a preference as long as it is well made (doesn’t have to be a complicated pattern, just not with obvious mistakes. Had that happen in swaps, like fingerless mitts with one thumbhole too big and the other so small that I couldn’t fit my thumb through).
Do you own any DW soundtracks? Would you like to? I don’t own any, but would like to, I love music
If you carry a container in your purse, what does that container contain? Pills, gum/mints, tea bags, phone, glasses? the only things I always carry are my phone, ipod touch and keys – unless I take my knitting, then there is a little bag with seam ripper (to cut yarn), needles, a mini crochet hook to catch dropped stitches and some waste yarn to be used as stitch holders or for provisional cast on.
Who is your favorite Doctor and why? Can’t quite decide between Ten and Eleven, they both are fun and the actors are really talented
What are your favorite things about Dr. Who (the actors, the writing, the time-travel, the drama, the comedy…)? All of them… I like that it isn’t the same in every episode, not just some kind “monster of the week” show but that you have comedy and drama – sometimes in the same episode. And I love that it keeps surprising me
Which is cooler: Bowties, fez’s, or ridiculous scarves? Again I have to say: All of them
Who do you think would win in a death-match: Daleks against cybermen? Five against Ten?Daleks… not sure about Five agains Ten, as I have only seen one episode with Five
What do you think would be the most epic Dr. Who death-match? no idea, honestly
Can you tell I am struggling to come up with questions that you chatty Who-ers haven’t already asked? nooo, not at all LOL
Do you knit or crochet or spin? I knit and crochet, and try to learn how to use a drop spindle… if only the day had more hours so I could do all of them
What projects do you like to make? Have a look at my projects page and you will see that I make a bit of everything… mostly small objects though like socks, hats, shawls, gloves/mitts and amigurumi
What kinds of items do you like to receive? Everything that’s well made and shows that my spoiler put some thought in it
What kinds of items do you not like to receive? Something wearable in pastels or pink, it would be a waste of crafting time, as I don’t wear those colours

Anything else your spoiler should know about you and your interests? I love to read, so books, bookmark, bookcovers etc will be always welcome. And I collect things with dragons. If you could include a tiny item for my 6 year old boy (like a small toy or some candy with his name on it) that would be great, he’s always disappointed when I get lots of gifts and there is nothing for him. He has no food allergies
Colors we should let the Cybermen “delete” from the universe because they are so horrible? (i.e. Colors you don’t like?) pink and pastels
would you want the scarf knowing it wasnt your only handmade and that it would be made of soft acrylic? if yes, would you want it altered at all? (length, width, minus a color…) yes – but only if it was made of soft acrylic, not wool… and as I’m only 1.59 m it probably shouldn’t be the full length LOL
What yarns do you have access to? Would it be difficult if your swap partner needed non-wool or non-acrylic? Not many LYS here, but I can get everything online if I have too. I’m allergic myself so I’d find a way. Alpaca, Cotton, Bamboo – not a problem. Milk, Soy, Seacell – more difficult to find, so not very likely that I’d get them for my spoilee
